Cumbria Pet Friendly Cottages

cumbria pet friendly cottagesCumbria is a dog owner's paradise with the stunning Lake District at your door just waiting to be explored.  It's a well loved area of the UK and ever popular with holidaymakers, many returning year after year.  A cottage is the ideal accommodation type in this area as it gives you the flexibility to take your holiday at your own pace returning to a welcoming and cosy home after an enjoyable day out.

From the Pennines to the Dales there are plenty of varied landscapes within reach for days out.  Windermere Lake Cruises are also very popular.

When it comes to choosing your dog friendly Cumbria cottage you will be spoiled for choice.  We would recommend a garden so your pet has some outdoor space to enjoy or somewhere close to enjoyable walks.  The Stable in Milton would be fantastic for a romantic getaway as it sleeps two and has a delightful location on a working farm.  The interior is charming and traditional with original beams and exposed stonework.  Hadrian's Wall is just 2 miles away and makes a great day out.

We also love The Hayloft which is a cosy stone cottage on a historic farm with the added bonus of a south facing garden for your private use.  This would be perfect for couples and a well behaved pet.  The location is excellent, on a hillside and within reach of Kendal and Lake Windermere.
