Offering easy access to the spectacular scenery of The Lake District National Park, End Cottage is the perfect choice for families looking for a relaxing holiday base from which to explore this stunning region. It is also ideally situated for those who enjoy pursuits.

The traditional end of terrace property is very spacious inside and has one double bedroom and a second bedroom with single and pull out bed. The Farmhouse-style kitchen is the heart of the house and has a dining area and woodburner offering the perfect place for the whole family to gather for evening meals. There is also a cosy sitting room with lovely views and a rear yard with furniture. The decor is simple and light and the furnishings homely and comfortable.

Local attractions include some of the UK's most scenic trails, the Dock Museum in Barrow-in-Furness and the dramatic sand dunes at Sandscale Haws. Families may enjoy a daytrip to Flamingoland theme park or Lightwater Vally both of which have rides and attractions for children of all ages. One well behaved pet is permitted.

Pet Friendly Days Out in Cumbria
Brantwood was the home of John Ruskin, a Victorian writer, artist and visionary and is a great place for a day trip in Cumbria. The site is beautifully situated and affords breathtaking lake and mounting views. There are gardens to walk round and dogs on leads are very welcome. The site is also home to the Jumping Jenny restaurant which serves fresh local food in a relaxed environment.
Mirehouse and Gardens
Mirehouse and Gardens is situated just outside of the popular tourist spot of Keswick and is a beautiful family run historic house in a stunning countryside setting. Visitors can enjoy live piano music and a fun children's quiz in the house and can also stroll around the woodland grounds, where there are playareas for children, lakeside and poetry walks and a fantastic tea room specialising in Cumbrian food. Dogs are welcome but restrictions may apply.
High Head Sculpture Valley
High Head Sculpture Valley in Cumbria is situated in the charming village of Carlisle and is a good choice for a dog friendly day trip. The family friendly contemporary art gallery is set on a working dairy farm with 5 acres of outdoor sculpture park and 70 acres of farm walks to enjoy. There is also a tea room and visitors looking to be pampered can head to the luxury health suite with hydrotherapy spa bath and sauna. Dogs on leads are welcome in the grounds.
Holker Hall
Holker Hall is one of the regions most popular attractions and is situated near Cartmel in the south of Cumbria. The family friendly site has beautiful gardens featuring rare flora and fauna, formal areas and plenty of open space for children to run around. There is also an excellent tearoom but visitors are welcome to bring a picnic too. Dogs are welcome in the gardens but must be kept under close control.
