Old Cottage

Cumbria
Sleeps 4

Sleeping 4 people, Old Cottage is a good choice for families wanting to be close to both the Lake District National Park and some lovely Cumbrian villages.

The charming stone built, semi detached cottage has a fantastic location in the centre of the pretty rural village of Nateby which has a few shops and a friendly pub. The popular market town of Kirkby Stephen is just a mile away offering plenty of places to eat and drink and a good selection of shops.

We love the unusual 'upside-down' layout of Old Cottage with the cosy sitting room, kitchen and main bedroom on the first floor to take full advantage of the delightful countryside views. On the ground floor is the shower room and second bedroom which is ideal for children. The cottage does not have a garden but there is a small sitting area to the front where guests can enjoy the peace and quiet.

Local attractions include the Settle to Carlisle railway line, the Howgill Fells and the grand Pendragon Castle. Outdoor pursuits including walking, cycling, fishing and golf can be enjoyed in the region too. One well behaved pet is welcome.
