The South Coast of England is home to some of the UK's most popular holiday destinations. There is so much to see and do along this stretch of coast that visitors are simply spoiled for choice. Whether you are on holiday for just a few days or a week or two, the region has the perfect mix of traditional seaside towns, open countryside and bustling markets and villages to make each day different! Kent, Dorset, Cornwall, Devon and Sussex each have something special to offer and all are ideal for those in need of a pet friendly holiday destination.
If you have an energetic dog to walk then the coastal paths are quite simply spectacular and stretch for miles and miles. Some of the beaches in the region also have dedicated areas for dog walking including Pevensey Bay which is also close to the popular and family friendly attraction of Pevensey Castle. If you have children as well as pets to amuse then the popular resorts of Bude and Torquay are good options. The towns of Paignton and Birxham offer an eclectic mix of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, many of which welcome dogs in the beer gardens and bar areas. Hastings Country Park in East Sussex is also a good choice for a day trip with plenty of open space for little ones to run around.
We have a fantastic selection of cottage in the South Coast to choose from. All are hand picked, pet friendly and offer fantastic value for money. We like Dimity Cottage in Kent and recommend it to families looking for a seaside base. The spacious and rather contemporary terraced property in fashionable Whitstable, has a fantastic location just a few minutes walk from the seafront and is well-equipped with a delightful "beach hut" feel. Old Tudor Cottage is another of our favourites and is ideal for couples. Located in Sussex the charming ground floor annexe offers cosy accommodation with excellent walking nearby. Ideal for those with dogs to walk!
