Pet Friendly Days Out in South Coast
Maiden Castle
Maiden Castle in Dorset is without question one of the largest and most complex Iron Age hillforts in Europe. The vast area is equivalent to 50 football pitches providing plenty of space for those with pets in need of a good walk. Many years ago these dramatic forts protected several hundred residents and recent excavations have revealed a fascinating history of inter-tribal rivalry, Roman invaders and stores of sling-stones.  Dogs on leads are welcome.
Porchester Castle
Loacted in Hampshire, this glorious castle is a fantastic choice for a family day trip and is highly recommended for those looking for plenty of space to walk their dogs. The stunning castle affords breathtaking views across the harbor where visitors can also find a good selection of cafes, pubs and restaurants.
Lyme Regis Pine Walk
One of the south coasts most popular spots for keen walkers and their dogs. The path is a pleasant 1 mile and takes in some stunning scenery and tranquil National Trust Land. Don't forget to take water for your dog if the weather is on the warm side.
