With a relaxing setting less than 1 mile from the pretty hamlet of Mosterton, Downside is a self contained, semi-detached cottage, peacefully situated on a working dairy farm on the downs, close to the borders of West Dorset and South Somerset. This location makes the perfect base for a relaxing farm holiday and there are plenty of attractions locally including Beaminster and the stunning Jurassic Coast.

The cottage has been beautifully converted and offers well-equipped, comfortable accommodation, with breathtaking views across the Axe Valley. The cottage comprises a cosy living room with open fire, a sunny conservatory and a modern kitchen. There is one double bedroom and one single with an additional pull out stacker bed.

Outside is a small private sitting area which is perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Guests also have shared use of the rest of the grounds. One well behaved dog is welcome for a small charge of £10 per week. Please not that dogs must be kept on leads at all times.

Eymouth Beach
Situated in beautiful Dorset, Eyemouth Beach has a dedicated area for those with dogs which is nice and flat offering easy access to the water for dogs that enjoy a paddle. There is a road next to the beach where you can park (pay & display).
Caerhays Castle & Gardens
A popular place for a day trip and is famous for the stunning grounds which are filled with magnificent camellias and rhododendrons. Tours, lectures and seasonal activities can be enjoyed at peak times and the site also has tea room and gift shop. Dogs on leads are welcome in the grounds.
Mount Edgcumbe House
The former home of the Earls of Mount Edgcumbe. The stunning house is surrounded by gorgeous Grade I Cornish gardens and a massive 865 acres Country Park on the Rame Peninsula. With such a huge estate to explore the site is ideal for those with dogs who enjoy long walks. Dogs on leads are welcome and visitors are asked to ensure that they clean up after their pets.
Becky Falls Woodland Park
Dartmoor's famous Becky Falls Woodland Park is a must see attraction when in the South West. This beauty spot is located within a spectacular ancient valley and as well as the falls themselves and the numerous trails and woodland paths, visitors can enjoy children's entertainment during weekends and school and bank holidays. There is even an indoor theatre. Dogs on leads are welcome.
