Located just 2 miles from the popular town of Newborough in Anglesey, Malltraeth Cottage sleeps 6 and is ideally located for families wishing to enjoy birdwatching, watersports and walking. The beaches in this region are also some of the best in Wales and include the award-winning Llanddwyn which is just 4 miles away.

If watersports and cycling are not your thing, then there is still plenty to do in the region. The Plas Newydd National Trust site is just a short drive away and Anglesey Sea Zoo is also close by. Day-trips to Ireland are also available from the town Holyhead.

Maltraeth Cottage is a spacious end terraced property and has three bedrooms, a fitted kitchen with dining area, sitting room with electric fire and a conservatory with lovely views of the coast. The kitchen is modern and spacious and has all the mod cons including microwave, fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. To the rear of the cottage is a pleasant enclosed paved garden with garden furniture and there is a small pebbled garden to the front.

Please note that this cottage has fairly steep stairs and so may be unsuitable for less mobile guests. One dog is welcome.

Pet Friendly Days Out in Wales
Parc Bryn Bach
Located in the beautiful heart of the South Wales Valleys, this is the perfect place for a day out with your dog. Set in 340 acres of mixed grass and woodland, the park features a 36-acre lake, picnic and barbeque areas and a regular programme of seasonal events.  There is also a visitor centre and visitors can take part in a wide range of instructor led activities including climbing, caving, gorge walking, kayaking and mountain biking. Dogs are permitted in the grounds but may have to be on leads in some areas.
Criccieth Castle
A medieval castle set in beautiful surroundings. The Castle is one of the areas most popular attractions and is both family and dog friendly. Visitors are welcome to bring a picnic and the site offers good parking facilities. Dogs must be kept on leads.

Gelli Aur Country Park
Situated in Landeilo is a good for families and dogs and offers plenty of open space for children to play, some fantastic nature trails that your pet will love exploring and an on site deer park. Dogs welcome but must be on leads in some areas.
Wepre Park
Offers play areas for children to run around, miles of walking trails, and a visitor centre with café serving tasty snacks. The site also boasts some old castle ruins. Dogs on leads are welcome.
